About Andrew C. Balyeat

Andy has retired from the private practice of law iafter over 30 years of service in Bend, Oregon specializing in estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships, the defense of recreational providers including ski areas, and the defense of attorneys in legal malpractice claims.

Prior to joining Hurley Re. P.C. as Of Counsel, Andy was the founding partner in the firm of Balyeat and Eager, LLP.

He was also designated as an Oregon Super Lawyer® in the area of general litigation. He was a member of the Oregon State Bar and the U.S. District Court, District of Oregon.
Andy currently serves as a Deschutes County Pro Tem Judge.

Beyond the Desk:

In his spare time, Andy enjoys snowboarding, golf, and traveling. He also enjoys acting as a volunteer basketball coach for the Bend Park and Recreation District.
