About Andrew C. Balyeat
Andy is a general civil practice attorney with over 30 years of experience in Bend, Oregon. Although he maintains a general practice, he specializes in estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships, the defense of recreational providers including ski areas, and the defense of attorneys in legal malpractice claims.
Prior to joining Hurley Re. P.C. as Of Counsel, Andy was the founding partner in the firm of Balyeat and Eager, LLP.
Andy is rated an AV® Preeminent lawyer, the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards by Martindale Hubbell. He is also designated as an Oregon Super Lawyer® in the area of general litigation. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar and the U.S. District Court, District of Oregon. Andy also serves as a Deschutes County Pro Tem Judge.
Beyond the Desk:
In his spare time, Andy enjoys snowboarding, golf, and traveling. He also enjoys acting as a volunteer basketball coach for the Bend Park and Recreation District.
